KWB to project manage Birmingham residential redevelopment

Back to news list

KWB Birmingham commercial property agents have been appointed as Project Manager and Principal Designer for a Birmingham residential development and construction project.

The development will consist of 28 new apartments in a three-storey block with basement parking on Birmingham’s Hagley Road.

Led by Akim Kamangira, Head of Building Consultancy, the KWB team of building surveyors will project manage and take on management and principal designer roles for Signature UK Development’s redevelopment of 423-425 Hagley Road, Harborne, Birmingham.

Demand for Birmingham residential property in fringe areas of the City, such as Edgbaston and Harborne is strong. These areas are a stone’s throw away from – and ask for lower levels of rent than – the city core. This demand is bolstered by the redevelopment projects within these areas, such as Edgbaston Village. As a result, the redevelopment of 423-425 Hagley Road is well-positioned to take full advantage of demand.

Akim said: “This is a strategic site on the Hagley Road where the new development will transform the site from derelict buildings to new apartments, benefiting both the neighbours and new occupiers. KWB Building Consultancy takes on these vital management and monitoring roles, to enhance the teams of smaller developers and investors.”
