Working in conjunction with Gladman Developments Ltd, one of the UK’s largest speculative developers of office accommodation, eight of the centres are housed in selected Gladman buildings in Liverpool, Stafford, Oldham, Northumberland, Wakefield and Warrington.

The remaining four centres have been created with Maximus in Worcester, Forward Group in Henley-in-Arden, Morcroft Developments in Cirencester and Paul Bassi’s business REI at Avon House in Bromsgrove. Together with joint venture partner, United Business Centres plc, KWB is now on the way to becoming one of the serviced office sector’s main players by 2010.

John Bryce, KWB partner, said “Serviced Office Centres are the future. They are welcomed by businesses requiring short term, and yet prestigious, offices to accommodate bespoke projects. They break the conventional mould of office letting, normally three/five year leases or longer, by signing clients on simple licence agreements from three months upwards.”

“Until now, they have been mainly utilised by small and medium sized businesses, but companies, especially blue chip operations, often need a local base for short term projects and yet require offices of the highest calibre which represent their business. We are delivering that service.”

Paul Roberts, Marketing Manager of Gladman, said “The new sites enhance Gladman’s portfolio, ensuring that we can attract businesses of every size to our developments. They provide an entry-level option to our office developments, creating a ‘seedbed’ for new tenants as they expand and ultimately consider conventional leases on the same scheme.”
