Judith Williams recognised with Nicola Fagan Award
KWB has recognised colleague Judith Williams with the Nicola Fagan Award, honouring her extraordinary compassion, selflessness and commitment to supporting others.
Formerly known as the Going the Extra Mile Award, the accolade has been renamed in memory of Nicola Fagan, our much-loved colleague who sadly passed away earlier this year. The award reflects Nicola’s spirit and the values she embodied at KWB, recognising individuals who go above and beyond in their support of colleagues.
Judith was selected for the award in recognition of the care and friendship she showed Nicola throughout her illness. During what was an incredibly difficult and emotional period, Judith was a constant presence, offering practical help, reassurance and companionship through some very challenging days.

John Bryce, Managing Director at KWB, said: “This has been a tough year for the business and for many of us personally. Judith showed extraordinary kindness and strength during a deeply difficult time, putting others before herself when it mattered most. Her support for Nicola was unwavering and speaks volumes about the type of colleague and person she is.”
Alongside the difficult moments, there were also opportunities to share lighter times together. Earlier this year, Judith and Nicola enjoyed a memorable visit to Chatsworth for afternoon tea, following Nicola’s own recognition with the newly named award, a moment that reflected her warmth and positivity.
John added: “Judith’s actions were driven by genuine care and friendship. It feels entirely fitting that she should receive this award, which now carries Nicola’s name and celebrates the values she held so dear.”
The Nicola Fagan Award will continue to be presented annually, serving as a lasting tribute to Nicola’s memory and the culture of care and respect she helped shape at KWB.
