The announcement of HS2’s construction, its Curzon Street station, and its operational HQ at Two Snowhill, has galvanised the property market and the wider economy.

We’ve seen several landmark office space lettings in recent years. Examples of these lettings, seen below, indicate corporate confidence in the city and represent significant amounts of inward investment:

  • 2016: PWC  took a pre-let of 90,000 sq ft at 1 Chamberlain Square, under construction at the Paradise development, and Network Rail consolidated several regional office locations into 83,406 sq ft office space Birmingham city centre at Baskerville House
  • 2015: HSBC committed to relocating its London HQ in Canary Wharf, by taking a pre-let of 212,000 sq ft at 2 Arena Central
  • 2014: HS2 announced it would take 100,000 sq ft of offices for its HQ at Two Snowhill
