A member of KWB’s industrial agency team has qualified as a Chartered Surveyor, making a considerable, new contribution to the company’s talent pool.
Ben Voss Wood, who has worked for KWB Birmingham commercial property agents for the past two years, has passed his APC (Assessment of Professional Competence) to become a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
The RICS is the world’s leading professional body for qualifications and standards in land, property and construction. RICS membership is only awarded to those who meet and maintain the most rigorous practice standards and professional conduct. Ben’s newly attained membership is a credit to both himself and KWB.
A Real Estate graduate of Liverpool John Moores University, Ben also gained more than a year’s experience in office agency before joining KWB.
Kenny Allan, Director in the industrial agency team at KWB, said: “Becoming a Chartered Surveyor is generally regarded as a key milestone in a property surveyor’s career, opening up new professional opportunities and job prospects,
“Ben is already a valuable and well-respected member of the Industrial Agency Team, advising clients on the acquisition and disposal of their properties. Now he has achieved his Chartered status, we expect him to play an even fuller role in the future success of the department and wider firm.”
Ben said: “Working with Kenny for the past two years, and learning from all his experience in the Midlands industrial market, has been particularly valuable in allowing me to pass my APC. I am looking forward to continuing to learn from him, but to take a more prominent role in advising our clients.”
Ben now joins the roster of KWB’s chartered surveyors, including Kenny Allan – Director of Industrial Agency, Mark Lenton – Director of Property & Asset Management, Martin Cook – Head of Valuations & Lease Advisory, Judith Williams – Property Management Surveyor, Akim Kamangira – Head of KWB Building Consultancy and the Directors of KWB Holdings Ltd, Nigel Tripp and John Bryce.
