Signing a 10 year lease on the office property, the firm has relocated its UK base to occupy the self-contained office building, which remains situated in a prominent position along Birmingham’s main arterial Bristol Road.

Previously based within two individual office premises at the Birmingham University owned Edgbaston Business Park, the office relocation has enabled Vaisala to combine their operations within a single building, allowing the company to improve its office space efficiency.

KWB, who previously acted on behalf of the company in terms of their dilapidation liability reports, was appointed to negotiate the lease, whilst Adrian Southall of KWB Workplace advised on the office space planning and design.

Speaking of the office acquisition, Adrian Southall explained, “Vaisala considered relocating from Edgbaston but decided that the location, together with the wealth of services provided by the University, ensured a positive workplace with tremendous facilities. The company has access to conferencing services, leisure facilities and a skilled local workforce, ensuring an excellent business location.”

Speaking of the company’s office relocation to Elm House, Andrew Harrison, Financial Controller of Vaisala Ltd said, “We were extremely pleased with the transaction secured by KWB. By assisting in our lease negotiations they were able to achieve extraordinary favourable terms.”

In terms of office move management, he added, “KWB Workplace kept us up-to-date throughout the process. By project managing our office relocation, we benefitted from having a single point of contact, making the communication process much easier. Although we were operating from the office premises during the refurbishment, we experienced minimal disruption and were able to remain focused on our business activities throughout.”
