The accolade was awarded on the number of transactions for office space in Birmingham city centre, Solihull, Redditch, Bromsgrove and throughout the West Midlands.
Significant investment in digital marketing
Lead generation at KWB has massively increased by virtue of their significant investment in digital marketing and specific focus on internet-based marketing. In 2012, KWB saw visits to their website increase by 11% with two-thirds of those being new visitors, which led to 20% more enquiries and 66% more office space transactions by square footage over the previous year.
With the growing number of office space searches being undertaken online, and KWB’s on-going investment through this channel, this can only further strengthen KWB’s position going forward.
Research into office lease breaks and lease expiries
Leasebank, their bespoke office lease break and lease expiry database, is another area where KWB has made significant investment which, together with 24/7 access to the most up-to-date office occupier database in the Midlands and continuous programme of telephone research, enables them to unearth enquiries for office space ahead of their competition.
Notable office space transactions
Notable transactions in the year included acting as commercial property agents on 35 Newhall Street offices, Birmingham where Mott MacDonald acquired 19,000 sq ft which, at the time, was the largest letting of office space in Birmingham city centre – see ‘KWB secures largest letting of office space in Birmingham city centre’.
KWB also acted on Eagle Court offices in Solihull where Virgin acquired 65,000 sq ft, representing the largest office letting in Solihull for 5 years – see ‘Virgin Media acquires Eagle 3 offices in Solihull’.
