L&G lets 22,000 sq ft warehouse in Birmingham to Righton
Legal & General has let a 22,000 sq ft warehouse Birmingham to a national metals and plastics distributor, Righton Ltd (Righton).
Unit 11 Tamebridge Industrial Estate, in Perry Barr, Birmingham has been let to Righton Ltd on a new ten year lease. KWB acted as the industrial agent on behalf of Legal & General’s Industrial Property Investment Fund, while Dunard Group represented Righton.Â
Headquartered in Birmingham, Righton is the UK’s leading supplier of aluminium, stainless steel, high performance special alloys, industrial plastics and composites to safety critical markets, including defence, aerospace, marine and energy.
Needing to expand its Birmingham Service Centre and export hub, Righton made the decision to relocate from Holford Industrial Park, to Tamebridge Industrial Estate. Its new Service Centre, one of eight nationwide, is a 22,058 sq ft modern steel portal frame, part brick-clad industrial unit with an eaves height of 6.5 metres. Situated just three miles to the north of Birmingham city centre, the warehouse Birmingham location is perfect for an export hub. Close to junctions 6 and 7 of the M6 motorway, with connections to the major roads and other major industrial estates, it offers great transport links to the rest of the UK.
David Wycherley, Managing Director of Righton, says: “When we were looking for a larger unit to expand our Birmingham Service Centre and export operation, our new unit at Tamebridge Industrial Estate stood out easily as the best option.”
Kenny Allan, Director of the industrial agency at KWB, says: “Tamebridge Industrial Estate is a first class location for occupiers looking for warehouses Birmingham or industrial space close to both Birmingham city centre and the national motorway network.”
Warehouse units of 5,000 sq ft, 11,000 sq ft and 18,000 sq ft remain available at Tamebridge Industrial Estate.
