Acorns new home is at Drakes Court on the Alcester Road, the charity has taken 10,936 sq ft of office accommodation – just five minutes away from its previous office, making the move a relatively easy one for its valued staff.

Acorns Chief Executive John Overton is delighted with the new HQ: “All charities have an obligation to find a cost effective home from which to run their operations and we have been doing just that, but being based over four separate locations is not necessarily good from a communications point of view. We have taken the opportunity to bring all our team under one roof, a move that will reduce our costs and we believe, improve our ability to be responsive. I’m sure we’ve made an excellent move and we’re looking forward to reaping the benefits in the years ahead.”

Duncan Scott from KWB says the office at Drakes Court seemed ideal from ‘day one’ for Acorns: “We knew what they were looking for and the location and the accommodation on offer were pretty much a perfect match. Amalgamating the four offices under one roof will facilitate smoother working practices as well as being more cost-effective, which will be beneficial for the charity and I’m delighted to have been involved in helping to put this deal together.”

There is a further 6,836 sq ft of self-contained, two-storey accomodation still available at Drakes Court. This is available either as a single unit or as two separate floors of 3,413 sq ft. If you would like further information, contact Duncan Scott at KWB on 0121 233 2330.
