Washford’s industrial units Redditch now fully occupied
Following the latest letting of 4,320 sq ft to Stebul Furniture, Washford Industrial Estate, which provides industrial units Redditch, is now fully occupied.
Washford Industrial Estate, which consists of 70,000 sq ft of industrial space in Redditch, was purchased by, current owners, Evenacre in 2014, from M&G Real Estate. The estate has been marketed by joint agents KWB Industrial’s Kenny Allan and Savills’ Christian Smith.
The estate is split into two terraces, one of which has been sold off on a freehold basis. The other, which has been retained by Evenacre, is now fully occupied, after Stebul Furniture took Unit 40.
Since Washford was purchased by Evenacre, a comprehensive programme of refurbishment has taken place, making significant improvements to all industrial units, under the advice of KWB Industrial Director, Kenny Allan.
The healthy level of interest in the estate over the past two years of Evenacre’s ownership has been such that it is now fully let. The list of occupiers includes Hanson Instruments, Kirkfield, TP3 Global Holdings and, the aforementioned, Stebul Furniture.
Kenny Allan said: “Fortunately, we had the foresight to recognise rising demand for high quality industrial units to let Redditch – and Evenacre shared that vision. Redditch is a strong region within the West Midlands’ industrial market – with its excellent connectivity, yet quiet surroundings. The refurbishment work at Washford Industrial Estate meant that it was well positioned to attract occupiers.
“Washford is now fully let for the first time since 2006 – a turnaround that we are happy to bring to our clients, Evenacre. It’s also testament, once again, to the popularity of industrial units Redditch. We would encourage occupiers considering industrial units, warehouse space or development land in Redditch to get in touch with us.”
Paul Jones at Evenacre said: “Washford represents a great investment for us, and nothing demonstrates that fact better than the estate now being fully let. KWB Industrial and Savills have been instrumental in establishing the estate’s place in the Redditch industrial market and securing its numerous new occupiers, that have agreed leases in the past 2 years.”
Anyone who had been interested in Washford, or is seeking industrial units to let Redditch should get in touch with KWB Industrial – to explore potential units at other industrial estates in the area.
