KWB Corporate Cleaning Employee Awards 2021

KWB Corporate Cleaning has held its 2021 Employee Awards, to recognise staff commitment to a first-rate cleaning service and help to clients.

Maeve Whelan was crowned Employee of the Year, winning a £100 voucher, and Rahila Hussain took second place, receiving a £50 voucher. Runners up were Laura Murray, Benhur Woldu, Nadine Francis, Millicent Pinnock, Lian Fletcher, Mark Agar, Sandra Soares and Katie Barker. They each received a £25 voucher.

Paul Winters, Operations Director at KWB Corporate Cleaning, said: “We’re delighted to shine the spotlight on our cleaning staff who have gone above and beyond to deliver top results for our customers and make KWB Corporate Cleaning the success it is today.

“The pandemic put extra pressure on our people, with increased demand for a cleaning service that ensured safe environments in challenging circumstances, and I’m extremely proud of the way we responded.”

Employee of the Year 2021 – KWB Corporate Cleaning service

“Maeve is a working supervisor at Brookfields School and is a dedicated employee who works tirelessly to keep the school clean and tidy for all children, staff and visitors. She goes above and beyond what is expected of her by working over her allotted time and helping others when in need.

“During COVID restrictions, Maeve was at hand to lead, manage and drive her team on, which has given the school a safe cleaning environment within which to work. Maeve is a remarkable lady that has a can-do attitude towards the school that she works in.”

“Rahila is a fantastic supervisor who has the respect from her whole team and management. Rahila manages a large team of cleaners and expects very high standards from them. She arranges all cover herself without requiring involvement from the management team. The school is spotless and a joy to visit.”

Laura Murray

“Laura is the sort of person you instantly get along with – she is always happy and is very work conscious. it is very rare she takes time off and has been willing to help with cover when anyone was off during the pandemic. She gets on well with all her colleagues and is liked by everyone.”

Benhur Woldu

“Benhur is a very quiet but friendly person who gets on with every job given to him. His standard of work is very high. We are able to send Benhur to regularly cover other sites which he is always happy to do.”

Nadine Francis

“Nadine is a long-serving site supervisor. She gets on very well with our clients and is on hand to help at a moment’s notice. She is extremely well liked and very efficient in the work that she undertakes.”

Millicent Pinnock

“Millicent works on two different sites for the company and supervises a small, efficient team. Every time she undertakes a job, you know it will be carried out to a excellent standard of cleaning. Millicent is a very popular lady who gets lots of praise from clients due to the high standard of work that she produces.”

Lian Fletcher

“Lian has been with the company for nearly eight years and has continuously done an amazing job for the company. Everywhere she works, the clients comment about her quality and high standards. Lian always helps out when needed and is a crucial cog in our cover work for the area that she works in. Lian always works above and beyond.”

Mark Agar

“Mark works at one of our schools that have really relied on him in the past and still do so to this day. He has opened and locked up the school when there has been no caretaker there, and the school has really appreciated this help. He supervises the school cleaning regime where the standards are very high.”

Sandra Soares

“Sandra is a fun and friendly member of my team. The client loves the standard of cleaning that she delivers. She enjoys coming to work with us and always makes me smile when I visit her. She has a great attitude to work and does it with pride. She is never off sick and arranges her own cover when she takes holiday.”

Katie Barker
