KWB has let nearly 11,000 sq ft of office space on Birmingham Business Park to financial adviser network, Personal Touch Financial Services.
Acting on behalf of Changan UK R&D Centre Ltd (CAUK), KWB’s Office Agency team let 10,815 sq ft on the ground floor at 3700 Parkside, Solihull Parkway, Birmingham Business Park, on a new institutional lease to Personal Touch Financial Services.
3700 Parkside is a 21,985 sq ft office building, acquired by CAUK when it bought the Parkside estate of five office buildings in 2015. This was to create a bespoke UK research and development facility for parent company Changan, one of the largest automotive manufacturers in both the Chinese domestic and global automotive markets. CAUK occupies the first floor of 3700 Parkside. The deal with Personal Touch means that the building is now fully let.
Malcolm Jones, Head of Office Agency at KWB, said: “We’re delighted to have assisted Changan in filling 3700 Parkside, a property it came to own as part of its landmark acquisition of Parkside in 2015. We’re also glad to see Personal Touch welcomed to one of the few available large pieces of high quality Solihull office space.
“There is a shortage of office space in Solihull and along the M42 corridor. The available space at Parkside and other office buildings on Birmingham Business Park is increasingly sought after by occupiers looking to either expand or relocate in this extremely well-connected area.”
11,474 sq ft of office space, with 58 car parking spaces, remains available at the neighbouring office building of 3900 Parkside.
KWB is the most active office agent in Solihull and the M42 corridor, securing more than 60% of office sales and lettings in 2017. Each quarter, it produces comprehensive M42 and Solihull office market research, listing all the office transactions and providing its view of the current and future market.
