KWB’s Birmingham office move management consultancy, KWB Workplace, has completed a six-figure office refurbishment, design and fit out project at the 26,000 sq ft office building, 1320 Solihull Parkway at Birmingham Business Park.
Working for the landlord, Quartz Investments LLP, KWB Workplace project managed the office refurbishment works for the ground floor and common areas.
KWB Workplace then managed the specification and fit out of 20,774 sq ft of office space on the ground and first floor for the incoming tenant, BCA Logistics.
KWB Workplace Director, Adrian Southall, said: “As an independent consultant and project manager, we were able to save time and money for both landlord and tenant by ensuring that we engaged the best contractors for the job and carefully managed the schedule of works.”
Tim Haslam of Quartz Investments LLP said: “Adrian and his team did an outstanding job managing and co-ordinating works for our ground floor and common area refurbishments and our new tenant’s office fit out.”
KWB Workplace works with office occupiers, landlords and commercial property developers as an independent consultancy and project manager on office design and fit out. It also acquires and plans office space, and moves organisations in a uniquely comprehensive service.
Recent projects include the acquisition, design, office fit out and move management for Caterpillar Financial Services into 13,800 sq ft of new office space at Friars Gate, Solihull; and the project management of the interior design, office fit out, procurement and move management for USN’s relocation to 6,300 sq ft at Seven House, Longbridge.
High-quality space in the Birmingham out-of-town office market is thin on the ground, but demand remains high. Non-refurbished properties may be unoccupied simply due to the current specification of the office space. KWB highly recommends that any landlords with vacant offices – particularly in and around Solihull and the M42 corridor – to consider office refurbishment works which will increase their appeal and the likelihood of securing an occupier.
