Sheldon Retail Park, which opened in 2019, is situated next to – and shares the car park with – a large modern Morrisons supermarket. The retail park is located on the A45 Coventry Road, one of the busiest routes into Birmingham, linking Birmingham Airport, the NEC and junction 6 of the M42 to the city centre. The development, owned by Chase Midlands Estates, comprises three retail units occupied by M&S Food, B&M Bargains and The Gym.
As well as collecting rent and service charges, we provide property management services such as litter picking – particularly for lunch wrappings and drinks bottles – landscaping, and cleaning and repairs to external areas, including the glazed canopy that surrounds the retail units.
In addition to The Gym being a 24/7 operation, occupiers such as M&S have very specific requirements that correspond with ensuring that its brand is upheld.
We work to ensure that the development meets those high standards and that the service charge is in line with external, independent verification.
Due to its prominent location and the appeal of the occupiers, the retail park is extremely popular, attracting a high daily footfall. With so many people visiting the park, it is important that we not only deliver our planned property management services, but also be highly communicative and responsive to any issues that may present themselves.
