KWB Corporate Cleaning wins contracts for four local schools

Outstanding communications skills have set KWB Corporate Cleaning apart from competitors, allowing it to secure school cleaning contracts with four local schools.

KWB Corporate Cleaning has won four new school cleaning contracts with several primary schools in the Birmingham area. These schools include Forestdale Primary School, Coppice Primary School, Elms Farm Primary School and Gilberstone Primary. The new contracts add to an already comprehensive portfolio of schools that KWB Corporate Cleaning provides services for.

The new contract wins for KWB Corporate Cleaning have come in the wake of Birmingham City Council dropping its school cleaning arm, and encouraging local schools to tender with private sector companies or take their cleaning service in-house.

KWB Corporate Cleaning’s new clients commended the firm’s ability to communicate with, and to understand the concerns of the schools’ cleaning staff. Many of these cleaning staff were initially unsettled by the change in employer. However many staff members have now transferred to KWB Corporate Cleaning under the TUPE regulations, protecting their employment rights, working conditions and pensions.

Fiona Hall, School Business Manager of Forestdale Primary School, said: “KWB Corporate Cleaning care about our cleaners who were very worried about the transfer from Birmingham City Council. They took time to talk with them, explain what would happen and understood all their concerns. A few tiny things they did for the cleaners made a big difference and we now have very happy cleaners. They have also been patient and communicative with me throughout this complex and tender process.”

KWB Corporate Cleaning was complimented on its flexibility and adaptability, factors that helped to secure the contract wins.

Ian Bailey, Infrastructure Manager at Coppice Primary School said: “Nothing is too much trouble for KWB Corporate Cleaning. They are flexible and adaptable. If there is an issue I’ll email the contract manager and they will respond within two hours and if I need to see them, they drop everything for a meeting.”

Commending KWB Corporate Cleaning further, Michal Pastornicky, Site Manager at Elms Farm Primary School in Birmingham adds: “When we had to change our cleaning company, KWB Corporate Cleaning was the best choice. They provide a brilliant service and are a real improvement over our previous contractor.”

Dyan Rhodes, Head of Commercial at KWB Corporate Cleaning, said: “It’s been a very difficult time for Birmingham schools dealing with the change to their cleaning arrangements. The short timescales mean that they have had to move quickly to ensure continuity of cleaning services.

“Although we have been extremely busy meeting schools and providing quotes, we have taken time and trouble to understand the unique cleaning needs of each school and it’s paid off for us.

“We continue to tender for further school cleaning contracts as we still have a great capacity to add more educational establishments to our client list.”
