Office agency case study
The development
One of Solihull and the M42 corridor’s most prominent business communities, Birmingham Business Park is formed of over 2.4 million sq ft of office and commercial space, with exceptional on-site amenities, across 148 acres of parkland. The park is home to over 150 businesses, including major operations such as Rolls Royce, Goodyear and Canon.
Having worked alongside Birmingham Business Park for many years, it remains one of KWB’s most valued clients with continued support for all manner of stakeholders, property owners and investors.
A history of success
KWB’s overarching responsibility for Birmingham Business Park is to market available space to potential occupiers. This long-standing relationship has been built on years of trust and success, as the team behind KWB delivers a high level of industry knowledge and experience with every letting.
“Since 2017, KWB has completed over 51 deals on Birmingham Business Park, which is 65% of all transactions. This has resulted in over 358,256 sq ft leased to a wide range of satisfied occupiers who choose Birmingham Business Park to elevate their brand, improve day-to-day operations and meet the needs of their teams.” Malcolm Jones, Director of KWB Office stated.
The choice for key business park endeavours
KWB has proven itself to be a commercial property agency that can meet the needs of any sector within the industry and the investors behind them.
A recent partnership with the owners of 2620 Kings Court, Clowes Development, showed KWB remains one of the most trusted and established names in the West Midlands. Having been appointed to market 11,858 sq ft of Grade A office space, KWB continues to be seen as the clear choice to represent unique opportunities such as this.
Not only that, but while Birmingham Business Park is known mainly for office space, the efforts of KWB Office’s colleagues, KWB Industrial, have seen them chosen to represent Diamond – 93,900 sq ft of new, high-quality industrial, warehouse and R&D space at the park.
Supporting the needs of occupiers
As well as property owners, KWB is keen to support every occupier that has committed to joining Birmingham Business Park.
KWB’s work alongside Japanese multinational air conditioning manufacturer, Daikin, enabled them to successfully expand their presence on the park. Already occupying one floor of 2470 Regents Court, Daikin were able to secure their expansion into the entire building with the assistance of Malcolm Jones of KWB.
“It was a pleasure to assist the team at Daikin in their growth on Birmingham Business Park. As a liaison between all parties, we were able to achieve a deal that appealed to everyone and offer more benefits to Daikin’s developing team than ever before,” Malcolm commented.
Daikin took an additional 4,705 sq ft of space to fill the 9,500 sq ft property completely, giving them access to further modern open plan offices, new shower facilities, their own air conditioning system and dedicated car parking.
