KWB Workplace completes “highest standards” office fit out for Mott MacDonald

KWB Workplace has completed an office fit out for one of the world’s largest employee-owned companies, to the highest environmental standards for Mott MacDonald.

KWB Workplace, the integrated move management, design and office fit out consultancy arm of KWB commercial property agents, designed and project managed the office fit out of 21,000 sq ft of Grade ‘A’ office space in the Bristol office of global management, engineering and development consultancy Mott MacDonald.

The two-stage project at 10 Temple Back, Bristol, one the city’s most prestigious office developments, took into account more than one hundred good practice environmental measures.

KWB Workplace has worked with Mott MacDonald on a number of office projects, most notably the office fit out and move management when Mott MacDonald relocated its Birmingham office into 19,000 sq ft of Grade ‘A’ office space at 35 Newhall Street in 2013.

Adrian Southall, Director of KWB Workplace, said this was the most complex yet: “We worked to the highest standards, as we considered more than one hundred good practice measures covering energy and CO2 emissions, waste, water, materials, pollution, wellbeing and transport, in the course of specifying materials and furniture, appointing contractors, and project managing the office fit out.

“Of course, everything we did also had to follow Mott MacDonald’s exacting corporate standards and brand image guidelines, but this was nothing new for us.

“Templeback is an outstanding waterside HQ office building in Bristol city centre, which has achieved BREEAM ‘Excellent’ for its construction, so it was important that KWB Workplace and Mott MacDonald worked together to achieve very high environmental standards for the interior of the building.”

Charles Bishop, Project Director at Mott MacDonald’s Bristol office, who oversaw the project for the firm, said: “We are delighted with the look and finish of our new offices.
